Simon Pauffley, Managing Director of Mobile Technik explains;

“With the growth of street food as well as brands looking to create stunts which deliver their product directly into the hands of the target consumer, this trailer is a very exciting development. You can hook it on the back of a car and be serving from the inbuilt equipment in minutes.“

Brand experience agencies and event caterers will be able to find incredibly creative applications for the trailer, from impromptu BBQs at bijou events, through to providing samples right on the doorstep of multiple locations in one day.

This unique system, which can be towed behind a car the size of a Fiat 500 or Mini can quickly tranform into a catering dispense unit with a self contained hand wash unit and interchangable equipment such as a hob, grill, bain marie, microwave to suit the application. The trailer is small enough to get close to the entrance of a venue, or right in the heart of the action for an event. The front of the trailer features chilled storage for samples and ingredients.

Mobile Technik will have a selection of the MT Byte available for rent, as well as building them to suit experiential campaigns with full branding and customised equipment to suit.

To work with brand experience agency BEcause to create an authentic and premium pop up bar, true to the essence of the Brugal Rum brand and its origin – the Dominican Republic.

Solution

Mobile Technik built a traditional Brugal Rum shack which combined a fusion of materials including corrugated iron, seagrass and wood. The pop up, built in the style of a traditional rustic bar, included three serving hatches which gave festival goers the chance to sample Brugal Libre cocktails and playing dominoes.

Result

The Brugal Rum Shack debuted at Bristol Harbour Festival in July 2011; one of the biggest free cultural festivals in the country, and went down a storm with visitors.

Transform one new and one vintage Airstream trailer into unique and visually striking flagship vehicles for the Wondering Wine Company.

SOLUTION

Mobile Technik was the first company in Europe to be entrusted by manufacturer Airstream to transform a new factory approved US shell into a dynamic catering unit ready to hit the festival circuit.

The Airstream international 534 now features stylish wooden shelving for red wine displays and four wine coolers for white and rose wine, all served through a quirky serving hatch. This creates a front counter which has space for two tills, a rapid cork dispenser at each end, and a freezer for ice and specialist storage for Govino polymer wine glasses.

RESULT

The bespoke trailer is coming to festivals and outdoor events near you now!

Create a sampling unit for toothpaste brand Sensodyne which incorporates an ingenious tie-up with ice-cream company Yog for sampling at festivals and in shopping centres to demonstrate the product’s ability to protect sensitive teeth.

Solution

Working alongside experiential agency BEcause, Mobile Technik created a contemporary wooden shack which featured real wood veneer on the main structural pillars and a slatted wooden floor, with a muslin and polycarbonate sheet roof, utilising simple and striking branding against natural colours and materials.

Results

The unit debuted at Taste London in Regents Park and inspired visitors.

Refurbish a stunning vintage H-Van to create an unusual flagship vehicle for Wondering Wine to take to smaller festivals and events.

Solution

Mobile Technik designed and sourced two striking original Citroen H vans which they adorned with the Wondering Wine Company vintage blue and cream branding to ensure they were recognisable ay summer events.

Each vehicle was kitted out with serving hatches, two wine coolers for white and rose wine and a timber storage rack for red wine. The vans feature a front counter with space for two tills, a rapid cork dispenser at each end of the counter, a freezer for ice and specialist storage for Govino polymer wine glasses.

Result

The Wondering Wine Company showcased its brand new vintage vehicle at the Royal Windsor Horse Show, where its H-Van wine bar captured the imagination and entertained the taste buds of event goers throughout the weekend.

We are proud to have been nominated the sole UK importers of ROKA converted Airstreams – the only official factory approved suppliers of new Airstreams for mobile food and beverage.

We completed the first Airstream project for the Wondering Wine Company which was an Airstream wine bar designed for the perfect serve at the UK’s events scene. We work closely with ROKA so we can customise the trailers to suit our customer’s needs and the most exciting part of the project is that this is Europe’s very first catering unit constructed on a new factory approved Airstream US shell.

The Airstream philosophy has always been “let’s not make any changes, let’s make only improvements”, which fits well with our design ethos to make every inch of the trailer with a functional purpose. We look forward to all the cool things we are going to come up with together!

Our brief is to capture the raw vitality of the chain and deliver it in a great looking unit incorporating the cows that feature in the Byron Hamburger restaurants. These cows must be the feature of the stand so now we are looking into ways to make these cows part of the road show – just a normal day in the MT office!
